I found Akiko’s beautiful cat art (she has other animal art also!) on Redbubble through a photo in the buyers booth section… So glad I found her as I love her kitty cat art and am sure you will also

“Hi! My name is Akiko Watanabe. I was born and raised in Japan, and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area. My husband and I have been adopting the stray cats that showed up in our backyard. Some were injured needing help, some were pregnant and gave birth in our home, and some were simply needing a safe home. We were able to find nice homes for some of the kittens and we adopted all the rest. They all live indoors except for the little fenced-in outdoor area where they can enjoy grass and smell of the exciting outside world.”
That sounds rather like me… Strays turn up here and of course we take them in and love them. But for some reason many of them only stay for a year and then vanish. So that leaves a hole in my heart but I’m getting used to that cycle… When one goes someone else turns up… It’s like we have to share the love so that every stray in this area gets his/her turn of beds, nice food and love! We must also have a note up on the door that says “Vacancies – All cats welcome!”
