The Creative Artists Blog.
As a budding photographer I spend a lot of my time at various print on demand websites… I often come across amazing artists and photographers who inspire me and whos work I want to own.
But since I’m not rich yet, buying isn’t always possible… So instead I wanted a way to “show the world” the great work I come across, to show you how taleted some of these people are and to promote unique gift ideas.
Since I’m also a SEO girl (search engine optimization) many of my posts rely heavily on that – On getting real people who are searching for what I’m posting about onto the blog and then, hopefully, onto purchasing some of the artists work whether that art be as a poster print, a mug, a tshirt or anything else!
Generally this, the creative artists blog is a way to “pay it back” or should that be “pay it forward”?

About the Blogger.
Hi! Yep, it’s me, Emily aka Emele, the girl behind this blog! Well… Where do I start?
I’m an arty, crafty, creative person who makes her living online mainly through photography.
I was born in the UK, Cambridgeshire to be precise, and moved to Crete, Greece when I was almost 18 where I stayed for 7 years. I now split my time between Crete and the UK (Wiltshire) where my man is.
I’m a cat lover, bookworm, sunday afternoon baker, lover of art, design and crafts and an avid bargain hunter. I love to learn new things… You can find out more about me, my life and what I’m upto over at my personal blog – Emele’s Life.
You’ll find me and my work at these Print-on-Demand Sites:

What is Print on Demand?
Ok… Print on demand sites, sometimes shorterned to POD, are where you upload you photo / image to a particular site, where you get your own little storefront, fill out all the info then set a price (or atleast set a percentage of what you want to earn) and then sit back and wait for a sale!
The POD sites make the actual item whether that be a greeting card, a magnet, a skateboard… even shoes! They ship it out and deal with all the “money stuff” then at the end of the month (or sometimes quarterly) you get your percentage of the $$$.
Most sites are free to setup, free to run, you don’t have to spend any money at all. Although some of the sites do offer “pro accounts” for a price.
Let’s say some stickers at Zazzle costs $4.95, that’s without shipping… You add a percentage, anything from 10% upwards – That means on stickers with a 10% markup you make $0.50 per sale whilst Zazzle kees the base price.
It doesn’t sound like you’ll be making much at first does it? But you can increase that percentage to 20% or even 50% – and with bulk sales things soon start to add up, you’ll see… Plus, it’s practically money for nothing
Thank you so much for featuring my clown.
This creative artists blog is such a great idea. I’ll be coming back often to read your helpful tips for artists. Thanks again.
